DC Universe/Heroes/Supernatural: Christmas 2007
Superman, Nakamura Hiro (Heroes) and Sam Winchester (Supernatural) wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Ah yes, a crossover of D00M. When I was planning the X’mas card earlier in the year, my 2 fandoms were Heroes and DC Comics. I was going to draw Supergirl and Nathan Petrelli for the card. Then in September I was seduced into the Supernatural fandom. Which led me to plan a X’mas card showing Dick Grayson, Peter Petrelli and Sam Winchester sitting around and drinking beer. I thought it wasn’t festive enough.
So I ended up taking a poll on my LJ, asking people to pick characters from each of these 3 fandoms without telling them what it would be used for. Clark, Hiro and Sam won at the polls, and this card was born.
Yes, it’s cracky. Maybe Hiro would like the idea of getting macked on by Superman, since he’s an otaku and all. But I don’t think Sam feels the same way. I almost wanted to draw Dean instead, because it would be funnier with super-heterosexual Dean getting held onto by a kiss-happy Superman. But I felt like drawing Sam more, so in the end Sam got lucky (!?).
Will next year’s X’mas card be gay-er? It was kinda my personal goal to do a slashier card each year after the next. We’ll see when the time comes.
I’ll plan the cards ahead of time next year, so they won’t all end up in limbo-land and not arrive before X’mas
