* Absolutely NO HOTLINKING of any sort is allowed. If you want to refer people to a specific artwork, please instead link to the entire entry, or the relevant Livejournal post. Hotlinkers will be publically blacklisted.

How to credit artwork:
1) Add a clickable link back to http://www.rockonfandome.com
OR
2) Credit to Livejournal user code_renegade (for use on Livejournal.com only).

* All artworks, with the EXCEPTION of gifts, commissions and requests, come with a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial license. See below for details on what you can or cannot do under this license.

Q: Can I remove the logo/signature from the artwork(s)?
A: No. You are not allowed to edit out the umbrella logo and signature on the artworks. That’s just rude.

Q: Can I make userpics, layouts, wallpapers, banners, etc from the artwork(s)?
A:
Yes, with the exception of gifts, commissions and requests artworks. However, they can only be for personal or non-commercial use. Also, you are required to provide credit for the artwork as stipulated above.

Q: Can I colour the artwork(s) and post them up?
A:
Yes, with the exception of gifts, commissions and requests artworks. However, they can only be for personal or non-commercial use. Also, you are required to provide credit for the artwork as stipulated above.

Q: Can I repost the artwork(s) as-is?
A:
Yes, with the exception of gifts, commissions and requests artworks. I will prefer that you link people to the Livejournal posts or the entries on this site instead, though. Credit attribution is a must.

Please note that for some online galleries such as DeviantArt, you are not allowed to repost other people’s works as-is. To do so is liable to get your account banned.

Q: What CAN’T I use the artwork(s) for?
A:

1) None of the artworks in this site can be used for commercial purposes. The only exception is if you commission me, AND we negotiate a commercial use license for an additional fee.
2) Artworks also cannot be used in a mass-market print medium, whether a derivative or not (i.e. modifications have been made to my artwork such as colouring, cropping, etc).

Q: Can I use a gift art/commission/request art for…?
A:
NO. These pieces have been drawn for specific people. If you really want to use it, please contact the recipient of the artwork directly. It is up to them to decide if they will let you use the artwork. Do not ask me to seek their permission for you.

Q: How to I tell which artworks are gift art/commission/request art?
A:
Read the description under each drawing. Usually, the first line of the description will include the name of the recipient if the drawing is for them and not for general use.

Q: I received a gift art/commission/request art from you. What can I do with it?
A:
If you are the intended recipient of the artwork, you have a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial license to the artwork. Basically, you can do anything you want with it except use it for commercial purposes or use it in a mass-market print medium. Credit in this case is very nice (and welcomed), but not mandatory.

Q: How do you define ‘commercial use’ and ‘mass-market’?
A:
Because the definition of these terms vary from person to person, for this site it is defined in the following way:
1) Commercial use/mass-market use occurs when more than 20 copies AND/OR
2) When a combined profit of more than US$5 or its equivalent is made from the artwork(s) or its derivative(s).

What this means is that you cannot produce 100 copies of an artwork or its derivative even if you are distributing them at a loss. You also cannot produce even a single copy of an artwork or its derivative if you make more than US$5 on it.

Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis if I am contacted ahead of time and given clear details on what you plan to do. But don’t count on it.
